The Young Researcher Meeting moves this spring to Cagliari, sponsored by the Physics department and the University of Cagliari.
You should know the drill by now: the meeting will be organised in sessions, each one dedicated to an active research field in Physics. Topics will span:
Astrophysics and Cosmology
Condensed Matter
General Relativity and Quantum Cosmology
Mathematical Physics
Nonlinear Sciences
Nuclear Physics
Physics
Quantum Physics
Students and post-docs will discuss their work in short talks or as poster presentations. We invite everyone, physicists and scientists working in Physics-related topics, junior and senior, to attend the meeting.
Following the success of the previous years, the rich program of the meeting will feature:
- a visit to the Sardinia Radio Telescope;
- a lectio magistralis;
- a Posters & Wine session.
As for previous editions, the conference proceedings for talks and posters will be published in the IOP Conference Series.
Important dates to keep in mind:
- Abstract submission deadline: 10th April 2017
- Abstract acceptance notification by: 20th April 2017
- Grant award notification by: 20th April 2017
- Proceedings submission deadline: 20th July 2017
Speakers and poster presenters may request to be considered for a grant, subject to funding availability, to (partially) cover travel/accommodation expenses. Appointments will be based on the quality of the submitted contribution at the sole organizers discretion.
